Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils as necessary. Many pure essential oils are so highly concentrated that they are often diluted before use. Dilute 1 percent of essential oils in carrier oil per volume. There are approximately 10 drops per ml, so a 60 ml bottle will need about 6 drops. Some oils are more intense then others: rose, jasmine, vanilla.
