Multiple Sclerosis

A chronic debilitating disease that affects the spinal cord, brain and central nervous system. Sclerosis means scarring, which represents the scars that are formed on the delicate nerves throughout the body, thus the word ‘multiple’. It is sometimes classified as an autoimmune disease as it responds as if the body were the enemy. Because conventional medicine has found the origin of the disease difficult to identify, MS is said to be incurable for the most part. It has been suggested that the myelin sheath is nearly impossible to repair.

Multiple Sclerosis directs antibodies and white blood cells against proteins in the sheath surrounding nerves in brain and spinal cord. Inflammation and injury to the sheath and nerves creates scarring or sclerosis, which interferes with nerve conduction, muscle messages and vision. It is a condition of deficiency, toxicity and is also a body, mind and spirit manifestation.

To be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis is like a death sentence, with symptoms only escalating as the years go by. There are no simple solutions. MS has been called the termite syndrome in some alternative health circles as the damage on the nervous system is akin to this insect’s ability to destroy wooden structures. This disease often surfaces for women six months following childbirth because of the depletion of essential nutrients in the system. In other cases, pregnancy can alleviate the symptoms.

Predicting Multiple Sclerosis is like predicting the weather. It is estimated that an excess of 400,000 Americans have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, affecting double the number of women as men. 42% of MS patients have fat malabsorption problems, another 42% showed evidence of animal protein in their feces and 27% had sugar absorption problems and 12% had inhibited Vitamin B12 absorption. It is clear that this dysfunction deprives the body of important vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids critical to healthy body functions. These deficiencies create chemical imbalances that denature the nervous system.

Signs and Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis often takes years to diagnose as the signs and symptoms are elusive. MS is merely a catch phrase for all the symptoms listed below that an individual may experience. The severity of the situation is unique to each patient and the recovery is equivalent to the diligence of application of various modalities. As with any condition, lifestyle changes are indeed the most critical to address as foods are at the base of all everything.

MS patients may experience some or all of the following symptoms.

  • Stiffness, clumsiness, tendency to drop things
  • Tingling or numbness in extremities
  • Tightness in extremities, electrical sensations, nerve interference
  • Visual blurring, haziness, double vision
  • Eye pain, blindness
  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Genitourinary complications, incontinence, loss of bladder control
  • Bowel control problems
  • Loss of sexual function, impotence
  • Staggering gait
  • Dizziness
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Tremors, slurred speech
  • Emotional imbalance

Possible Causes of Multiple Sclerosis

After years of doing Dark Field Microscopy one thing is clear. The blood of the MS patient is consistently littered with chemical debris. Many of the individuals have worked as upholsterers, car and auto body painters, carpenters, and in other occupations that allow excessive exposure to toxic chemicals. Some of the known environmental and occupational chemicals that contribute to MS are:

  • Xylene found in coal, wood tar and wood spirits
  • Toluene used in pain and paint thinners
  • Thallium
  • Mercury
  • Arsenic
  • Pesticides
  • Amalgams

A study involving painters exposed to organic solvents (1970-86), construction workers, and food processing workers revealed that all occupations produced individuals presenting aggravated MS symptoms. It is thought that the infiltration of immune cells crossing the blood brain barrier is a significant contributor to MS. Usually the onset of MS related symptoms could be traced back to an event or illness that greatly compromised the immune system, therefore the mind-body connection can once again, not be ignored.

Multiple Sclerosis occurs because of a number of preexisting environments. The myelin sheath of nerves consists of the Galactoshingolipids, (a sugar and oil combination), Cerebrosides, Gangliosides and Sulfatides. The more a denatured diet exists, the more likelihood there is that the immune system is compromised, therefore providing the perfect environment for dysfunction to take up residency. Copper is necessary for the synthesis of the myelin sheath but an abundance of copper can also cause demyelization the sheath.

Other causal considerations are:

  1. Subluxations of the spinal column – such impingements compromise circulation and nerve conduction
  2. Cranial Sacral Disharmony
  3. Hereditary Predispositions
  4. Erythrocyte Aggregation – increased viscosity of the blood from ingestion of glutinous and incompatible foods
  5. Stress – constricts blood vessels therefore diminishing blood flow, increased adrenaline
  6. Chemicals – from environmental and occupational to coffee, tea and chocolate
  7. Methanol poisoning – from artificial sweeteners, MSG, and other excitotoxins
  8. Aluminum – as found in municipal drinking water, pots and pans, over the counter drugs and personal products
  9. Lead, Copper, Zinc
  10. Pharmaceutical and recreational drugs
  11. Fungal, viral or parasitical infections
  12. Tobacco, alcohol
  13. Negative lifestyles, including attitudes, living environment, living conditions, emotional starvation
  14. Burnout – depletion of vital reserves
  15. Nutritional Deficiencies
  16. Organ Inadequacies – resulting from toxicities
  17. Digestive difficulties

In a 1949 report by Dr. Kyger and Dr. Haden, it was suggested that Multiple Sclerosis “might be a central nervous system manifestation of chronic brucellosis”. An estimated 113 patients tested positive for Brucella, many of whom develop neurobrucellosis, which affects the brain. Brucella is an infectious form of Mycoplasma that has been used in biological warfare. Disease caused by such an agent is suspect also in AIDS, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, Crohn’s, colitis, Type I diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, Wegener’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer’s.

There are also relationships being made between high incidences of chemtrails in the sky, as they are known for depositing aluminum into the atmosphere. The influx of these chemical blankets in the sky precipitates elevated symptoms of respiratory and neurological problems in susceptible individuals. Controversial treatments for Multiple Sclerosis include Marijuana, the ‘forbidden medicine’. The distressing manifestations of MS, including severe muscle spasms, loss of bladder control and pain, have been greatly reduced by using this drug. Most of this research is anecdotal but encouraging never the less for those who dare to experiment. One must of course weigh out the pros and cons before initiating such a choice.

Yet another bitter debate looms around the connection between artificial sweeteners and its relationship to aggravated symptoms of MS and other such diseases. Since the revelation of this affiliation, the MS society has since suspiciously rescinded its initial claims. Do I smell blackmail? Because aspartame, for example, is made up of three chemicals, aspartic acid, phenylalanine and methanol, we can easily see that this sweetener is a chemical soup of substances foreign to the body. Such combinations pass the blood brain barrier thus potentially destroying neurons. Both aspartate and glutamate are excitotoxins that literally excite the neural cells to death.

In the health and science circles, it remains that patients diagnosed with MS become asymptomatic when artificial sweeteners, in addition to MSG and other methanol containing products are removed from their diet. Vision returns, hearing improves, as do other manifestations of Multiple Sclerosis. Russell Blaylock, a professor of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of Mississippi exposes the dangers of such non-food additions to the American diet. His book “Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills” is excellent reading.

Conclusion

Being diagnosed with MS can be devastating, but be encouraged by the fact that options exist. Know that you have the opportunity to turn things around, take charge and reclaim your life! This process is achievable with a clear plan of action and support. If a neuromuscular condition exists such as in Multiple Sclerosis, the underlying existence of heavy metals demands more time and patience to eradicate.

  • Systemic detoxification: including bowel, liver, kidney, lymphatic, parasites
  • A good water source
  • Heavy metal detoxification
  • Eradication of fungus, bacteria, virus, parasites
  • Organic fresh and raw diet
  • Proper bowel elimination
  • Essential fatty acid supplementation – Omega-3 fish oil
  • Low stress lifestyle
  • Exercise
  • Massage therapy
