But did you know that your emotions also affect your health? Taking care of your emotional health is important to living a vibrant, balanced life. Stress and anxiety lead to poor health - just like the food we eat also does.
What is Good Emotional Health?
People who have good emotional health are aware of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. These people have learned how to cope with the stress and problems that are a normal part of life in a healthy way. They feel good about themselves and have healthy relationships.

How To Improve Your Emotional health
The first step is to recognize your emotions and understand them. Also, you need to learn to express your feelings appropriately. Talk to a loved one, a counselor, or someone you feel safe taking with.
Additionally, living a balanced life does not stop at the food you eat. By not obsessing about problems you may have at work, school, or home that lead to negative feelings you can improve your emotional health. This doesn't mean you need to pretend to be happy when you are stressed, anxious or upset. As we stated before, it is important to deal with your feelings. This only means try to focus on the positive things in your life too.
Find a calming technique that is right for you. Relaxation methods, such as meditation, are useful ways to bring your emotions into balance. Meditation is a form of guided thought. It can take many forms such as exercising, stretching or breathing deeply.
Take care of yourself. Routinely eat healthy meals, get enough sleep and exercise to relieve pent-up tension.
Be aware of your body, food, environment and emotions to live a truly balanced life!
