In this week’s podcast, Martin Pytela and his co-host Scott Paton continue to explore the benefits of a properly functioning colon and digestive system. Their suggestion to those who wish to improve this area of their health is to try probiotic supplementation. These supplements provide you with energy, strengthen the immune system, and allow you to absorb nutrients far more efficiently and completely.

Several noted MDs have stated that colons are incredibly underestimated in the grand scheme of our overall health. Dr. Harvey Kellogg has stated that in the tens of thousands of operations he has performed, he has never seen a colon in ideal condition (and he has supervised even more).
Dr. Kellogg has gone even further to say that 90% of all diseases we experience as a society could be prevented quite effectively by improving the functioning of our colon.
If this has sparked your interest about the matter, I want to encourage you to check out a fine product offered by a brand called “Generation Plus”. It’s called Floracol, and it helps create an environment in the colon where “good” bacteria flourish and “bad” bacteria are flushed away for good.

As Scott points out at the beginning of this week’s podcast, the Life Enthusiast Co-op doesn’t restore vitality to you alone, but to the planet itself as well. The slogan: “Restoring vitality to you and the planet” should be a model for all the citizens of the world, especially given the recent environmental issues at stake.
This is precisely the topic of this week’s podcast which deals with Al Gore’s notion of global warming. You stream the full episode right here:

As Martin points out, it all comes down to what he calls the “strategic vs. tactical”. That is: Do you simply want to alleviate the nasty symptoms of the problem, or do you want to cut to the root of the problem, weeding it out altogether?
The analogy he gives is the oil gauge on your car flashing. The solution of most traditional western medicine would be to simply stick a piece of chewing gum over the red light and not worry about it. This is the equivalent of taking a painkiller for a headache.
The more holistic approach, argues Martin, would be to realize that blotting out the symptom doesn’t solve the problem, mainly that there is a lack of oil in your car. He goes to argue that if we take this approach with the global village itself as a whole, we can ensure that it is not just us who our achieving our optimum vitality, but our environment as well!

When you talk about the most common health problems affecting people’s lives in a negative way, the last thing you are liable to think of as the root would be bowel problems.
Nonetheless, this is the topic of Life Enthusiast Martin Pytela and co-host Scott Paton’s latest podcast. You can stream it right below:

“In the 50 years I’ve spent helping people to overcome illness, disability and disease, it has become crystal clear that poor bowel management lies at the root of most people’s health problems.”

This is a statement made by Dr. Bernard Jensen, DC, ND, Ph.D, who has studied with some of the best doctors in the United States and Europe. He has had his own sanitarium for over fifty years and continues to practice with an open mind and heart. This is undoubtedly the reason he was once nominated for a Nobel Prize.
The best way for us to combat these problems that manifest themselves in so many unforeseen ways in our health is through probiotic supplementation. Probiotics refer to the natural, beneficial bacterium to be found in the digestive tract. “Bad” bacteria, make us sick, while probiotics can protect us from degeneration and disease.
The Life Enthusiast Co-op offers a great product for just this purpose called Strata Flora. They are great probiotic supplements which I can’t recommend highly enough. It’s also worth mentioning that antibiotic means “against life”, while probiotic means “for life”. In the end, it’s your choice.

Aromatherapy puts heavy emphasis on the use of essential oils, which are extremely useful and powerful therapeutic agents. Use of these types of oils goes back many years through healing ceremonies and religious rites. They were extremely popular and useful in the ancient world.
Many of these oils, frankincense is a common example, you already known from religious texts in the Judeo-Christian and Muslim religions. Frankincense was used to cure many ailments as were others such as myrrh, lotus, sandalwood and more. Ancient Egyptian purification rituals used these types of oils also.
Fast forward to the 21st century and one of the beneficial oils offered by the Life Enthusiast Co-op is known as Ylang Ylang. A fractionated oil, Ylang Ylang includes five fractions or grades that are collected for various purposes. It is very useful in treating depression by lifting people up emotionally and mentally. It is an excellent cure for low self-esteem and for curing menstrual cramps in women.
I have received testimony from many clients, all of whom agree that this oil is calming, relaxing and exotic. I have also had testimony that it acts as an excellent aphrodisiac. If you are at all interested or intrigued by the idea of aromatherapy, don’t hestitate to give it a try!

Iodine plays an extremely important function in the body. It balances the endocrine system and thyroid gland, allowing emotional states to be properly managed. Women, who have very different hormonal dynamics than men, experience this much more vividly. Iodine also regulates the prostrate in men and the ovaries and breasts in women.
Unfortunately, much of our population suffers from iodine deficiency. It’s the topic of Martin Pytela and co-host Scott Paton’s latest podcast:

Proper iodine levels throughout the body contribute to muscular coordination and better eyesight. The eyes can become stiff with unwanted calcium caused by deficiency of iodine. Multiple Sclerosis has also been linked to iodine deficiency, especially long-term remissions. The epidemic of cancer of the prostate, breasts and ovaries is also connected to this phenomenon.

Even after many years of research, we still don’t know exactly how back problems develop and how they can be eliminated for good. The question “What causes back pain?” is one for the ages. Fortunately, we are moving closer to a better understanding of what causes this and how we can fix it.
Listen to Martin Pytela, founder of the Life Enthusiast Co-op, and co-host Scott Paton talk about this issue right here:

A big part of this problem is the huge number of people whose diets are protein deficient. This is the cause of so many problems in our health as we go about our day-to-day lives. It leads to degeneration and infection in many different parts of the body.
While certain people may have been protein deficient for some time without any injury, eventually this problem will manifest itself and the sooner it can be solved the sooner a problem can be avoided. Protein deficiency puts the body in a vulnerable and weakened state, leaving it to struggle against nutrient-deficient cells. The immune system is greatly impaired and protection and healing processes are slowed down significantly.
Amino acids are a great way to solve the problem of protein deficiency. They are easy to take and they restore an ideal metabolic protein rate throughout the body. The Life Enthusiast Co-op offers a great product we call Platinum Plus Amino Acids which we highly recommend you try out.

At the Life Enthusiast Co-op, we think of nourishment as having five essential elements:
• Enzymes
• Minerals
• Carbohydrates
• Proteins
• Water
The topic of this podcast is ingredients. Martin takes great delight in debunking ingredients that other companies put into their products and how this can short-change you in terms of nourishment. Check out the episode below:

The Life Enthusiast Co-Op offers plenty of products to give your body the enzymes it needs. One product that really stands out for me though in this regard is Excela-50. Excela-50 offers plenty of enzymes and is a green product, harvested in such a way so that the enzymes in it are preserved. This will always ensure increased nourishment. Preservation stops enzymatic activity.
All our products are preserved that they do not spoil or lose nutrients. Often preservation will make a product less alive and less digestible in exchange for it not going bad. However, there are two methods of preservation that do retain enzymic activity. Both methods involve freezing and drying and have been refined and tested by the LEC. This ensures that you always get exactly what you should. We make sure nothing gets lost in transit!

This podcast commemorates Martin Pytela’s return from a three week trip from Europe, where he spent time in Prague and London visiting family. Martin at this point, having just got back, is still adjusting to the change in time zones, something that is not very healthy on the body. Staying within two or three time zones will not cause much trouble, but when you start making huge nine or ten hour shifts it is very rough on the body’s internal clock.
A similar example is working night shifts. Scott recounts his university days where in the summers he would work night shifts. Shift work has a similar effect on our health, and as Martin says its pretty much “the worst invention ever”.

The theme of this podcast is the idea of change and its effect on our health and lifestyle. Like all biological creatures, we are all naturally resisting change. We will go to great ends in order to continue to do what we have always done. The only thing that forces us to change is the point at which we can no longer continue without severe consequences.
Unfortunately, for many of us this means we are doomed to become ill, since so many of our everyday habits that we cling due are not the healthiest. As we continue to get worse, hopefully we finally reach a point where we come to the realization that we must make a change in our lifestyle lest we remain sick until the day we die.
If this all sounds very bleak, it is only to create the realization in each and every one of us that we don’t have to wait until it is too late. We all have the power to make the change we miss to see in the world, if we make it now!
