Chances are you’ve experienced what Martin and Scott are talking about. You wake up one day and just don’t seem to have the energy you once did. Tasks which once were easy for you now require increased effort, or the days just seem to be getting longer all the time.
What’s happened is your body has stopped being able to eliminate the toxins it receives faster than they are coming in. An eight day detox, like the one promoted by Dr. Terry Hambrick, might be just the trick you’re looking for. It’s a simple eight day nutritive cleanse designed to initiate dietary detoxification.
Everyone we’ve talked to has reported incredible results with this: some have even started doing it every month it feels so good! One recommendation: schedule your first cleanse so that days four and five land on a weekend. This is often the most intensive portion and it is nice to have some time to simply relax and unwind with it.
Happy Cleansing!

The topic of this week’s brand new podcast is depression. A serious problem for many of us in the western world, depression does not have a single solution or cure. Our medical establishment offers supposedly wonderful treatments including inhibitors of serotonin and all the rest. Do these really solve the problem? Perhaps they only mess with the brain enough to give the illusion that one is not depressed.

According to Martin, the true cure for depression is raising the level of joy and happiness in one’s life to the point where the down moments become insignificant. I realize that sounds simplistic, but that should at least be the goal, right? A healthy body does not become depressed and bad posture and mental habits only contribute to the downward spiral.

More and more, depression is being related to the balance of calcium and magnesium throughout the body. Low levels have always been associated with anxiety, and studies are now showing that many people who need a great deal of calcium supplementation to reach normal levels have a history of tranquilizer abuse.
My advice for those dealing with depression is to give magnesium supplementation a go. The Life Enthusiast Co-op offers Transderma Magnesium Crystals for your bath which allow your body to absorb precious magnesium the right way, through the membrane of the skin. This ensures the body doesn’t reject it as it can with oral supplementation. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially if treatments offered by our medical establishment have left you wanting.

Aromatherapy puts heavy emphasis on the use of essential oils, which are extremely useful and powerful therapeutic agents. Use of these types of oils goes back many years through healing ceremonies and religious rites. They were extremely popular and useful in the ancient world.
Many of these oils, frankincense is a common example, you already known from religious texts in the Judeo-Christian and Muslim religions. Frankincense was used to cure many ailments as were others such as myrrh, lotus, sandalwood and more. Ancient Egyptian purification rituals used these types of oils also.
Fast forward to the 21st century and one of the beneficial oils offered by the Life Enthusiast Co-op is known as Ylang Ylang. A fractionated oil, Ylang Ylang includes five fractions or grades that are collected for various purposes. It is very useful in treating depression by lifting people up emotionally and mentally. It is an excellent cure for low self-esteem and for curing menstrual cramps in women.
I have received testimony from many clients, all of whom agree that this oil is calming, relaxing and exotic. I have also had testimony that it acts as an excellent aphrodisiac. If you are at all interested or intrigued by the idea of aromatherapy, don’t hestitate to give it a try!
