Laundry Appliance

THE LAUNDRY APPLIANCE was developed to save householders money and to help purify the water of the world. Though Precious Prills were the first truly environmental Twilight product, they simply did not do enough, fast enough.

The cost of laundry products for the average family is about $1200 a year. Most people who have used this simple device say it works very well without detergents, bleach or fabric softeners. This product will drastically reduce water pollutants derived from chemical laundry products.

I am committed to restoring the quality of the water on our planet. Each use of the Precious Prills results in a positive contribution. The Laundry Appliance is even more effective than Precious Prills. Anyone using Twilight products are proactive environmentalists.

  1. Place it in your washing machine with each load of laundry.

  2. Produces water that is an excellent solvent for oil, which is the intent of detergents.

  3. Produces water that removes "covering agents" used in laundry detergents. When white clothes come from the wash the first time you use the Laundry Appliance they may look dirty. This is because the water of the wash has removed the "covering agents". This coating will fall off in the dryer or on a drying line.

  4. The Appliance should be dried between uses.

  5. If the Laundry Appliance is left in a Hot Tub, the water will wash out the hydrocarbons of the fabric cover, and the device will loose its active material.

The Laundry Appliance was created so we can wash our clothes without detergent, bleach or water softener. Because it can also purify water, it is one of the best ways we can assist in cleaning up the water in a septic tank or sewer system. When we stop dumping chemicals into the water, and instead dump water that keeps working to purify everywhere it goes, we make a difference in our environment that is already overloaded with chemicals.

While the Laundry Appliance can get your clothes cleaner than any detergent, it may not remove hard stains. It is best to use a stain remover in the same way as when you used detergent. If you want to use some detergent, it is wise to use only about 10 percent of what you usually use. Otherwise, you may have suds coming out of the washing machine.

For extra umph in your laundry use Arm and Hammer washing detergent and some 20 Mule Team Borax.  These are natural cleaners.

Other Uses

The Bath:

Use the Laundry appliance in the bathtub to create instant Prill Water. Just before you get into the bathtub, remove the laundry appliance from the tub. This will greatly facilitate the body's absorption of any magnesium you put into the water.

Hot Tub:

Depending on the size of your tub, you may want to use one, two or three of the laundry appliance bags instead of chlorine. Used in this way, Jim Carter suggests you may also want to add a small amount of hydrogen peroxide for odor control. No, the water won't last forever. We dump our toxins there, so it is best to empty & refill the hot tub as needed. Jim Carter states that the water made with the laundry appliance is not for drinking.

The Laundry Appliance is made of special Prills mixed with the Laminar Crystals sown into a canvas bag. This bag has been stitched many times to survive in the washing machine. We recommend you put it in either a nylon stocking or some other small mesh covering as the twill bag may come unravelled, or the natural fiber denim may break. Don't want to loose the beads down the drain!

I have been using the laundry bag in our household now for 3 months.  For laundry, the first batch I did was my weekly supply of bodywork sheets (I don't use oils).  They came out sooooo soft and sweet I had to rewash the ones I did the previous week in regular laundry.  I am slowly working my way through blankets & throws because the result is so wonderful.  It does feel like being wrapped in love. I generally don't add any laundry soap but have noticed with really dirty camping clothes and towels It works better to add a little of my fav soap.

Oh, and I use the laundry bags in my hot tub, just place them in nylon stocking and hang them over the jets so when it recirculates it's awesome. Blessings, Sharon Kufeldt

After much testing and trial and error I have some info on my hot tub results. After my first two weeks I was having a couple problems, so I drained my water and started fresh. My water is now a full two weeks old. I have not added a chemical of any kind. I am using a Laundry Bag and two Precious Prill bags. My water is sparkling clear. My pH and alkalinity test right on the money. The pool and spa people in my area told me I might want to do a chlorine check on occasion for bacteria. For now I'm just playing a kind of wait and see game. My results so far are very exciting. I use my spa nightly for about thirty minutes. On weekends my wife and daughter join me usually Friday nite and Saturday.

With this amount of use, I'm still sparkling clear, no haze or cloudiness at this point. My friend Shauna is doing the same with hers. She uses hers, on average, three nites a week four forty minutes to an hour. Her water has been chemical free for over three weeks now, using a Laundry Bag and one Prill bag. Both of us can report clear water and the pH and alkaline tests are holding right where they should be. I have had my hot tub for four years now and I'm very fussy about my water. I've been thru a lot of trial and error working out problems and always wanted a chemical free hot tub. Well, seems to me I've found it! I'm very excited and my skin is really responding to the difference. My wife reports soft skin on her legs and feet and I have to agree they are really nice to touch.

My sister in law is having improvement in her ringing ear problem. And her mother, who just three days ago received her Prill beads and Bath Crystals and Magic Oil, felt so good, after two days she was tap dancing in her kitchen, before going to work, and she is 78. Also my wife had a nasty sinus infection coming on, and drank lots of Prill water for two days, and it knocked it dead! Last nite she felt great and slept well. The nite before, she was going to get a doctor appointment because she was so miserable. So much more to tell, so many little things, but I'll leave it at this, for now. Field Test

Conducted by Dixie Waldrip and her psychotherapist husband, Lynn:

Dixie ran a study, which I as a scientist oversaw. It was regarding the use of the Twilight product, Laundry Appliance. We have been using it for several days now without using any laundry detergent. While the results seemed okay, we had been disappointed about other products that replaced detergent, so Dixie felt that we needed a good sound study to investigate the results. That is the purpose of this study.

Methodology: A clean sheet was used. It was torn into three equal parts. All three pieces were rubbed thoroughly on a very dirty Suburban and boat that had been sitting in the open under a carport for several years without being washed. They were each also rubbed into some grass.

Experimental procedure: Each piece of the sheets was placed in the laundry tub with warm water. Each cycle in the washing machine was the same as that used in standard cycles. Each piece was then dried separately in the dryer.

Typical laundry detergent was used on piece A. The same laundry detergent plus bleach was used on piece B. The Laundry Appliance only was used on piece C. Dixie ran the machine on an empty load before washing with the Laundry Appliance in order to clear out any residual soap and bleach. All three pieces were then placed on a clean white sheet and compared by Dixie and myself under strong light. We varied the positions to account for any differences in lighting, shadows, etc.

Results: There was complete agreement between Dixie and myself as to the results.
1. The soap (piece A) altho cleaner than it had been, still had a lot of dirt and grass in it.
2. The soap plus bleach (piece B) was definitely much cleaner than piece A.
3.  Piece C (Laundry Appliance) looked like Piece B.

Conclusion: The Laundry Appliance was just as effective as detergent and bleach.

Several people visited the next day and Dixie showed them the same pieces of sheet in brighter sunlight than before. Without exception, they tagged the Laundry Appliance as the cleanest. They said it was not brighter than the bleached piece, but had gotten more of the grass stain out.
