Colloidal Silver Uses

Colloidal Silver is a name commonly assigned to all anti-microbial silver-based products. It is possible to have ionic (fully dissolved) silver, as well as metallic (colloidal, in small particles) silver in the same solution, yielding perhaps the most effective product. With colloidal silver, more does not necessarily mean better. Concentrations greater than 10 parts per million seem to cause more trouble than benefit.

Silver has been used for fighting germs and preventing infections for centuries, and is now (again) becoming a popular form of alternative medicine as an antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal agent. Water-soluble silver is the perfect natural alternative to antibiotics.

Colloidal Silver works as a catalyst, disabling the enzyme that one-celled bacteria, fungi, and viruses use for their metabolism. Because no known disease-causing organism can live in the presence of even minute traces of silver, Colloidal Silver is effective against more than 650 different disease-causing pathogens including bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Silver kills only anaerobic (non-oxygen breathing) bacteria, and not the friendly bacteria in the digestive tract.

Because its a naturally occurring element, silver is not easy to patent, so it cannot be owned. This makes it subject to unwarranted attacks by competitors following their economic interests.

Pioneers trekking across the American West found that if they placed silver or copper coins in their casks of drinking water, it kept the water safe from bacteria, algae, etc. All along the frontier, silver dollars were put in milk to keep it fresh.
