Elections coming up, what will your representative do?
An important thought comes to mind: just how connected are politics and policy? And what does policy have to do with health? Will you be free to make decisions about your personal health? I am quite unhappy with the sellout of the elected officials to the interests of big business lately. It does no longer matter if they are Democrap or Republican they are both just two wings on the same bird of prey (thanks Pat Buchanan). I am seeing the need for yet another round of grass roots movement, both from the right as the Tea Bag movement and something yet to rise from the left, as a pivotal issue of our time. It is upon us to declare the system of representative democracy broken, and perhaps obsolete. It is not serving the people it is serving the money, which is mainly held in the accounts of large corporations.
When it comes to health, the recently expanded health (would like to be universal) coverage bill is a wolf in sheeps clothing. It pretends to help people, but it will impoverish them even more. The power must be shifted towards the individual consumer, not the system, or a cog within it (an administrator with rules to implement). If we all are forced to pay for the health care promoted by the current establishment, we will pay more and more for technological gimmicks for problems that can only be solved with prevention and natural solutions.
Watch this video, and then contact the people that offer to represent you. Ask them questions about this issue, because it alone has the size and scope to bankrupt this country. Mark my words, the current medical system is like a virus, like a cancer, that knows only one thing: grow until it kills the host.
