Is this safe for a 24month old? She has as skin rash with hard white pointed bumps. Derm said it was some kind a skin infection which could take a yr or so to resolve.

LIFE ENTHUSIAST

The oil taste is quite intense. Apply the oil topically (dilute a bit with a carrier oil), it is organic and pure.

What is the percentage of thymoquinone? Which black seed oil has the highest thymoquimone content, and should that be the deciding factor in choosing the most effective one?

LIFE ENTHUSIAST

It sounds like there might be a slight mix-up between two different 'black' seeds!

Thymoquinone (TQ) is the active compound found in Black Cumin Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa). If you are looking for high TQ, you would want our Andreas Black Seed Oil. It does not need to be an extract with the Thymoquinone isolated in order to be effective. This technique is very new and was never traditionally used as a standardized extract up until recently.

However, the product you linked is Black Sesame Seed Oil. While it is incredibly powerful, it does not contain Thymoquinone. Instead, it is prized for its high levels of Sesamin and Sesamolin, which are elite antioxidants for liver support and anti-aging.

The deciding factor for both: Rather than just looking at TQ percentages, the most important factor is how the oil was pressed.

Most oils are damaged by heat and friction during pressing. The Andreas Seed Oils we carry use a unique cold-press technology that ensures the oil is never oxidized. This means you are getting a 'living' oil where the nutrients are fully intact and bioavailable, whether you choose the Black Cumin for its TQ or the Black Sesame for its Sesamin.

With Black Cumin Seed oil - a higher concentration of thymoquinone isn't "better". Higher concentrations of extracts like this are often marketing ploys. A good quality black cumin seed oil will work. Period.
