For the Health of Your Hormonal and Reproductive Systems
Genki Phyto supplies phytoestrogens and the building blocks of hormones with Don Quai and Wild Yam which are used in Chinese Medicine for the health of the hormonal and reproductive system.
This supplement contains Genki Grains which is a combination of raw, whole grains, seeds and legumes and four powerful green foods: Spirulina, Alfalfa Grass, Barley Grass and Wheat Grass.
Grains, Greens and Probiotics in a whole food source of concentrated, organic nutrition. A pleasant tasting Superfood that provides all the nutrients you need, and assists in establishing healthy intestinal flora. A healthy digestive system promotes good nutrient absorption and waste elimination - both benefit your immune system, therefore your entire body.
Phytoestrogens are thought to mimic the properties of estrogen in the body, although the effect is weaker and of shorter duration. This is why it is suggested to increase intake of foods containing phytoestrogens in an effort to maintain a stable level.
From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytoestrogens
"According to a study by Canadian researchers about the content of nine common phytoestrogens in a Western diet, foods with the highest relative phytoestrogen content were nuts and oilseeds, followed by soy products, cereals and breads, legumes ...
Flax seed and other oilseeds contained the highest total phytoestrogen content, followed by soy bean and tofu. The highest concentrations of Isoflavones are found in soy bean and soy bean products (eg. tofu) followed by legumes, whereas lignans are the primary source of phytoestrogen found in nuts and oilseeds (e.g. flax) and also found in cereals, legumes, fruits and vegetables."

Directions for Use
Keep in mind that Genki Foods products are simply food, but they are powerful. Just as you can eat too many fresh cherries and have diarrhea, you need to determine your own tolerance and your own goals.
Start with 1 teaspoon (2.5 gm) per day or less and adjust as necessary for comfort level.
Can be taken dry, mixed in water, into your favorite juice, shake or smoothie to make a pleasant early day power drink. You may also like it sprinkled on cereal or salad.
Some people find the powder to be initially constipating. Simply consume more product (preferably Liquid) to increase the number of scrubbers (bacteria & enzymes) working in your gut. If your bowels are too loose, then reduce your intake. Liver detoxification can cause loose bowels. If this is a problem for more than two weeks, increase the amount you take for a few days and reevaluate. If the problem still persists, then reduce the amount you take, slow down the process and take your time to cleanse.
You may consider adding an essential fatty acid supplement (hemp nuts or hemp oil) to your diet as they are critical for so many processes.

Soy and Isoflavones
Never take your eyes off Mother Nature. In this case, the prudent application of soy research was perfectly clear.
Soy and Phytoestrogens
They found two components of soybeans with anticancer activity. The first are phytoestrogens - a group of compounds (e.g. genistein and daidzein) that have estrogen-like activity in humans and animals.
Genetically Modified Foods
Avoid GMO foods. Check labels for these commonly altered items: soy, corn oils, and flour, lecithin, canola, and soy protein isolates.
Soy: Miracle Food?
Soy contains haemaglutinin, which is a clot-promoting substance that causes red blood cells to clump together, setting the stage for clogged arteries and stroke.
Soy: There are better options in the store for you to choose than nutritionally empty, genetically modified beans full of anti-nutrients.
Spilling the Beans on Soy
From fast food to pet food, soy is wall-to-wall in our edible products. And while organic fermented soy can be good in moderation, eating a tofu burger and washing it down with a glass of soy milk on a daily basis could prove hazardous to your health.
What About Soy?
It's not that long ago that soybeans were considered by most Americans to be "hippie food." But then medical research began accumulating, affirming that soy consumption reduced heart disease and cancer risk, that it lengthened lives and enhanced their quality.
Whole Soy Story
There's nothing natural about these modern soy protein products.
Soy Bad, Soy Good: The Pluses of Fermented Soy
Many studies have shown traditionally fermented soy, which is the form that is very popular in many Asian cultures, aids in preventing and reducing a variety of diseases including certain forms of heart disease and cancers.
