Causes of TMJ Pain
TMJ pain has basically three possible causes in the body. TMJ-Ease does address them all. It is not necessary for one to have all the causes to have painful TMJ.
An easy way to think of TMJ dysfunction would be similar to how a repetitive stress injury would occur. This is the first cause, a mechanical one. The second is a metabolic condition that will be described further on. Mechanically, mis-aligned joints (even minimally so) create a strain during the constant motions of chewing, speaking or anything that involves the jaw.
The constant misalignment of the jaw eventually creates a continual state of tissue inflammation. It is this inflammation that sends signals to the body to create and build up microscopic fibers of collagen and fibrinogen that eventually develop as thick layers to attempt to stabilize the TMJ misalignment. The jaw condyle joints however, are more highly innervated than any other joint in the body. There are more pain receptors and joint-position receptors here than any other similar site in the body. So once the exudated fibrinous fibers lay down, they begin to build up, thickening and creating an actual wedge that pushes the jaw further out of proper placement with each movement of the jaw. The gradual build up of the fibrinous layers is the second overall reason and the first metabolic cause of TMJ.
If your metabolism is out of balance in another way, the jaw joints may build up a hardened casing of calculi. This would be like having an inflamed condition of the temporal mandibular joints. TMJ-Ease does take care of this painful condition as effectively as it does the fibrinous build up in the jaw joints.

Hardened fibrin and calculi in TMJ pain is precipitated by a specific nutritional deficiency and/or imbalance in the body. This nutritional deficiency or imbalance allows fibrin (which should remain semi-solvent) to become non-solvent and hard. This may also manifest in the general fascia of the body and create a spectrum of symptoms that can range from simple discomfort to devastating and life-engulfing pain.
When this occurs, it's very common for the same cause to manifest as TMJ pain. But, if the nutritional deficiency is mild enough, then the overall symptoms will be less severe with only TMJ pain as the main complaint. This can and will increase over time as the fibrin continues to build up in the body and jaw joints.
