Over time, some people have seen their Precious Prills change colour. To restore them to clear & white, dunk the bag of Prills in one cup of Hydrogen Peroxide 3% (pharmacy grade) and rinse thoroughly, and start over. The Prills may become discolored by minerals contained in the water you use. We have seen gray, beige, orange, blue and green, depending on the water source (calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, etc.) The colour does not affect the functioning of the Prills. The algae growth is stronger when the Prill Water container is exposed to sunlight. |
