Cancer and pH Balance

Which is the cause of cancer: low pH or lack of oxygen?

There are two factors that are always present with cancer, no matter what else may be present. Those two factors are acid pH and lack of oxygen. Can we manipulate those two factors that always have to be present for cancer to develop and by doing so will that help reverse the cancer? If so, we need to learn how to manipulate those two factors. A normal human cell has a lot of molecular oxygen and a slightly alkaline pH. A cancer cell has an acid pH and a serious lack of oxygen. Cancer cells do not survive in an oxygen rich environment. At a pH slightly above 7.4, cancer cells become dormant and at pH 8.5 cancer cells die, while healthy cells will live. Terminal cancer patients are around 1000 times more acidic than normal healthy people. The vast majority of terminal cancer patients possess a very low body pH.

Why? In the absence of oxygen, glucose undergoes fermentation to lactic acid. This causes the pH of the cell to drop from between 7.3 to 7.2 down to 7 and later to 6.5 in more advanced stages of cancer. And in metastases the pH drops to 6.0 and even 5.7 or lower. The body simply can not fight disease if the pH is not properly balanced. Remember that the pH number is an exponent number of 10. Therefore, a small difference in pH translates to a big difference in the number of oxygen or OH-ions. A difference of 1 in a pH value means ten times the difference in the number of OH-ions, a difference of 2 means one hundred times the difference in the number of OH-ions. In other words, blood with a pH value of 7.45 contains 64.9% more oxygen than blood with a pH value of 7.30. Cancer and all diseases hate oxygen / pH imbalance. pH balance is very important for one’s health.

High pH Therapy for Cancer

By Dr. A. Keith Brewer, Pharmacology Biochemistry & Behavior

With alkalizing minerals, tumor masses disappear over several weeks, and Dr. Brewer reports “all pains and effects associated with cancer disappeared within 12 to 36 hr.” Dr. Brewer’s patients ate 3 to 6 grams of cesium chloride (CsCl) or rubidium chloride (RbCl) daily together with 2 to 4 grams of potassium chloride (KCl) and a variety of other nutritional supplements. “The toxic dose for CsCl is 135 g. The administration of 6 g per day therefore has no toxic effects. It is sufficient however to give rise to the pH in the cancer cells, bringing them up in a few days to the 8 or above where the life of the cell is short. In addition, the presence of Cs and Rb salts in the body fluids neutralizes the acid toxins leaking out of the tumor mass and renders them nontoxic.” The minerals are taken three times a day (divided dose) during or after meals.

Cesium, rubidium and potassium are powerful alkali electron acceptors, or oxidizing agents, like forms of oxygen used by the immune system to fight cancer. These alkaline minerals enter cancer cells in proportion to their concentration, effectively raising cancer cell pH. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 3) Potassium, rubidium and cesium are similar in action to sodium and their chloride salts have about the same toxicity. Adverse effects are only seen in very high doses. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 5-6) Chloride is efficiently scavenged in the gut by Chitosan, while the alkaline minerals are not affected by it. Chitosan is widely used in cancer and other treatments in Japan, with doses of 3 to 15 capsules a day.

By preventing absorption of chloride ions, blood pressure spikes are prevented and the process of alkalizing the body is made much more efficient, since chloride would otherwise combine with acids released from cancer cells to form strongly acidic hydrochloric acid. (wizard) Cancer cells are acidic. When they become alkaline, they die. Dead alkaline cells are readily absorbed by the body and eliminated through the kidneys. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 2), Pain and side effects of the tumor decrease almost immediately as the minerals neutralize toxins leaking from cancer cells. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 6). Cancers in mice shrank within a week with eventual reabsorption of tumors. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 7).

Because potassium is also needed for transporting glucose into cells, large amounts can be necessary to raise pH by carrying alkaline water into cancer cells instead of glucose. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 16), High potassium diets, such as carrot juice (also supplying pro-Vitamin A), have been used by people fighting cancer. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 25), Cesium and Rubidium are typically high in volcanic soil. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 17), The concentration of Rb in soils varies from 1.5 to 1800 ppm. Cs concentration in soils is much lower. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 23).

Rb and Cs are found in hot springs, mineral springs and ocean water because the salts are water soluble. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 23) Geology and diet in four areas with low cancer rates show high Cs, Rb and K intake as well as substances enhancing their transport. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 21), Hopi Indians in the Arizona desert on traditional lands in 1949 were virtually free from cancer. The overall mineral content of the Hopi traditional diet is higher than conventional foods with very high levels of K and Rb. In 1949, an A.M.A. team recommends more study of this link between cancer and diet. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 23)

As the diet is partially replaced by federally donated foods, in 1955, the B.I.A. transfers responsibility for Indian health to the US Public Health Service and cancer risk increases. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 23-24), Pueblo Indians also experience more cancer as they stop eating foods rich in K+, Rb+, and Cs+. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, page 24), Complementary-nutrients: Vitamin C (5 to 10 grams), Vitamin A (50,000 units), Vitamin E, Zinc Monomethionine (100 to 200 milligrams), L-Selenomethionine (100 to 200 micrograms) and Amygdalin (Vitamin B17). These are taken in divided doses with meals daily. (Dr. A. Keith Brewer, High pH Cancer Therapy With Cesium, pages 2-4)

Dr. Brewer found that cesium, rubidium and potassium are the alkaline minerals most readily absorbed by cancer cells. Dr. Brewer discovered that the diet of virtually cancer-free populations in certain areas of the world (Hunza Valley in Pakistan, Caucasus, Vilcabamba Valley in Equador, and the Hopi Indians of the United States) are rich in all the essential minerals such as cesium, rubidium and potassium, and that these diets are essentially a natural High pH Therapy.

Caution: Cesium and rubidium are normally trace minerals in the diet. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing as these minerals may displace other alkaline minerals. Consult your health professional if you want to supplement cesium and/or rubidium because you have pain and/or cancer. Your practitioner can monitor your electrolytes while you supplement higher levels of the salts of cesium and/or rubidium. You can obtain 100 mg tablets, 500 mg capsules or 1000 mg capsules of Cesium (chloride) from Remission Foundation.
