Whole Foods Declares Coexistence with GMO Foods Is Possible

I am just about at the end of my rope on this issue. Actually, I think we are done in. Already shot, still standing, just waiting to keel over. First our beloved white knight Obama appointed Tom Vilsack to run USDA. Sort of like appointing the goat to look after your cabbages, or maybe the fox to supervise your chickens. Tom Vilsack used to work for Monsanto, and maybe has not stopped yet.

Now the head honchos of the healthy foods market have agreed that coexistence with GMO foods is possible. Give me a break! Every organic farmer will have the GMO pollen blown into his (or her) fields in no time. So this is it, end of pure foods as we know it. I don’t know if there is anything that we can do short of a full uprising. The big business controls the big government, and they do whatever they want to do regardless of what the consumers (at least the educated and involved consumers) say or want.

With Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm leading the charge, the big retail protectors of consumer interest have caved in. It will not be too long before organic means nothing more than grown in a field where GMO pollens have blown.

Just in case you are wondering, yes, farmers who use herbicides have about double the incidence of cancer, and the soils are depleted of micro-flora, and the beneficial insects are not doing well.

In our superfood blend manufacturing we buy a lot of raw ingredients. One of them is Lecithin. We used to buy Organic, but that’s no longer possible. We now get species specific which is a lab test that determines if the plant is as nature made it, or contaminated by mans manipulations.
