I have no idea why Jim Carter named this device a receiver when in fact it is something of a sender. Much like all the other Laminar Crystal devices he made, it replicates the ancient water structuring technology that came to him with the ancient Artifact. It was quite a treat for me to be holding the Artifact in my hand back in 2003.
