Methyl B-12Best B12 for More Energy, Less Stress
- Helps Calm Nerves and Stress
- Enhances Energy
- May Boost Brain Functions
Vitamin B-12 supports more energy, better sleep and reduced stress. Necessary for a healthy brain, nerves and heart.
Keep on-hand for any time you need a mood and/or energy lift.
Vitamin B-12 is critical for health. One of the most important daily nutrients. And it’s the most chemically complex of all the vitamins.
- Helps calm nerves and stress
- May improve sleep and energy
- May improve immunity
- May boost brain functions, mental alertness and good moods
- Helps regulate homocysteine levels
- Plays a role in neurological activity
- Enhances growth and repair of all cells
- Aids in metabolism of carbohydrates and fats
- May improve protein synthesis
- Helps protect against nerve damage.
Vegetarians are often deficient in B12, because it’s found mostly in meat sources.
Most people are not getting effective and adequate amounts of Vitamin B-12. When people purchase regular “off the shelf” Vitamin B-12 sublingual tablets, absorption rates are not equally effective.
This is a highly bioavailable form of methylcobalamin (see ‘Details’ tab). The MOST absorbable form of B-12. Readily available for your cells to absorb.
Bypass Absorption Barriers
Age, genetics and low stomach acid can inhibit B12 absorption. This advanced delivery technology unlocks the potential of this versatile vitamin.
This liposomal formulation allows the bioactive form of B12 to be delivered through your mouth mucosa, and circulate into your bloodstream.
Absorbs faster after ingestion than conventional capsules and lozenges.
Smaller = Better Liposomes
Many liposomes products have large particles that absorb poorly. Our particles fall in an industry-leading ≤ 100nm range. So small they begin absorbing as soon as they hit your mouth.
Unlike the inexpensive and common cyanocobalamin form of Vitamin B-12, Methyl B-12 uses methylcobalamin – readily available for your cells to absorb. Cyanocobalamin has to go through the first pass of your liver, where a small amount of methylcobalamin is produced. Then it enters your general (systemic) circulation.
Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) is a water-soluble nutrient in the B vitamin family. It supports a healthy mood and neurological function by supporting methionine synthase, an enzyme with downstream effects on neurotransmitter pathways. Methylcobalamin optimizes the metabolism of homocysteine, an amino acid that increases oxidative stress and cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disease risk when elevated. Methylcobalamin also supports healthy red blood cell production and DNA and RNA synthesis, preserving health at a cellular level.
Because age, low stomach acid, and genetic variation can impair absorption of B complex vitamins, this liposomal formulation is designed to deliver B12 faster and more efficiently.
Methyl B12 is a key, bioactive form of B12 that contributes to both methylation and the synthesis of glutathione.
Another unique feature is Methyl B-12’s method of delivery. Sprays are known to be more effective in activating saliva glands than capsules, pills, lozenges or drops. This allows the Vitamin B-12 to enter your bloodstream quickly and efficiently.
Symptoms associated with Vitamin B-12 Deficiency
Abnormal gait, bone loss, chronic fatigue, constipation, very low moods, digestive disorders, dizziness, drowsiness, enlargement of the liver, eye disorders, hallucinations, headaches (including migraines), inflammation of the tongue, irritability, labored breathing, memory loss, moodiness, nervousness, neurological damage, palpitations, low blood hemoglobin, ringing in the ears, and spinal cord degeneration.
The American Heart Association suggests that patients with high levels of homocysteine should be sure to get enough folic acid and vitamins B-6 and B-12 in their diet.
When homocysteine reaches high levels in the body, it can be harmful to the heart. Evidence suggests that high homocysteine levels can cause cardiovascular problems, and is associated with stress and brain disease.
The optimal safe range for homocysteine is under 6 micromoles per liter.
One study revealed that a person who took 2000mcg of oral methylcobalamin per day for four months reduced homocysteine levels from 113.4 micromoles per liter to 8.2 (1).
Methylcobalamin is the only form of B-12 that can directly participate in homocysteine metabolism. (2).
According to Ray Sahelian, M.D., vitamin B-12 plays a major role in red blood cell activity, methylation reactions and immune system regulation.
Evidence indicates methylcobalamin has some metabolic and therapeutic applications not shared by other forms of vitamin B-12.
Government studies revealed that Americans’ intake of vitamin B-12 is less than 70 percent of the recommended daily allowance.
B-12 Methylcobalamin Spray more than compensates for that by providing 500 mcg per spray.
