Himalayan Crystal Salt
Himalayan Crystal Salt comes in several grades. We feel the salt we have is the best available. The salt crystallized 250 million years ago from the ancient ocean that the trilobites were swimming in. I call it the amniotic fluid in the womb from which all life arose.
The primordial ocean dried up in shallow lakes, and then when the Indian tectonic plate pushed itself under the Asian plate, the Himalayan Mountains rose about 250 million years ago. This salt was buried and compressed under the mountains for 250 million years. It has solidified and turned into pink crystals over that time. We buy the salt that is extracted in underground mines by hand tools without the use of explosives or heavy machinery. The mines are in northern Pakistan, right near the area where much fighting is taking place recently.
Large blocks of salt are brought out and shipped to our secondary facility. The blocks are split into smaller pieces, they are hand washed in salt brine and dried in the tropical sunlight in India. The salt is shipped to our North American food grade certified facilities where it is milled and packed prior to sale to our customers. The end product is a beautiful, pink, energy rich salt. Simply take the beautiful pink crystals and dissolve them in water to turn them into concentrated saturated brine. A good dose is approximately a teaspoon (5 milliliters) of this saturated brine in a glass of water every morning.
