Specialty Carrier Oils

Primrose Oil

Evening Primrose Oil is beneficial in treating all skin conditions and hormonal imbalances. It contains linoleic acid (vitamin F), gamma linoleic acid (GLA) and essential fatty acids which the body uses to manufacture hormone-like substances. Thus, Evening Primrose Oil helps to combat pain and inflammation, regulate the menstrual cycle, control blood cholesterol levels and boost the immune system. Good Evening Primrose contains at least 9.5% GLA. It is highly recommended for dry and mature skin.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip Seed Oil is a wonderful carrier oil for treating the skin. It can be used to reduce scarring and facial lines and to assist in healing burns. However, it is not recommended to treat acne. Rosehip Seed Oil contains fatty acids similar to those in the skin, therefore, it is very healing and nourishing as the skin can easily metabolize it. We recommend Organic Rosehip Seed Oil that contains Oleic Acid – 12% and Linoleic Acid – 37%

St. John’s Wort Oil

The infused oil is used for bruises, contusions and wounds. It reduces inflammation and speeds up healing of the skin. Use a 10% dilution.

Witch Hazel Astringent
